Fashion Challenge: Style a Graphic T-Shirt

Written by Chelsea - University of Oklahoma 21 Comments

You will never be faced with a campus that at short t-shirts. Of giveaway shirts, to free student organization tees, t-shirts adorned with the logo of your colleagues, these babies are sure to be on the backs of a few (or several dozen) of your friends appear on a regular basis.

Many girls throwing a fashion-white flag on their t-shirt days, whether they're rocking their graphic tee by choice, or are required for a specific shirt for a sorority event, volunteering, club function, or a job. It's always funny how people think you make it look stylish no graphical tee - there are many ways a statement in a t-shirt to make, and this week's challenge is to find these opportunities, so you never feel sartorially choked again!

Ready to rock this challenge? Read on for some tips to try for yourself!

Shirt, Skirt, Bracelet, Headband, Flats

If your campus is like mine, you know that the students have gone crazy for American Apparel tees. I love them for their flattering fit, and each student organization loves to print their logo on them. Occasionally, though, I get a shirt from a club that ordered from a generic brand or old, leaving me with a short, boxy tee. Not the most flattering cut!

If yourself in this situation, try tucking your shirt into a skirt. A high waist skirt with a thick elastic waistband will give your body a beautiful hourglass shape, while looking for fashion-forward. Link your look with girly flats, a sweet headband and matching jewelry for a perfect ensemble for female class.

Shirt, Shorts, Boots, Belt, Snake Bracelet, Braided Bracelet

I to the University of Oklahoma, as cliche as it sounds, cowboy boots shoes are something of a staple here. It's really popular with boys (especially boys in fraternities) to wear them under their jeans with a button-down shirt or polo! Although I am from Tulsa, I never experienced this until I came to college here! They are especially popular to wear on the tailgate, or act in concert with a dress.

Even if your campus is not a cowboy crazy as mine, a pair of cowboy boots is an unexpected way to add interest to a basic outfit. Finish with a number of chic jewelry.

Shirt, Jeans, Shoes, Watch, Beanie, Bag

This look is laid-back and a bit grungy, which is right on trend for the chilly autumn days we're going to encounter. A few t-shirt with a few good up skinny jeans and comfortable shoes. A slouchy beanie is perfect for covering unwashed hair, and keep you looking put-together on a windy day.

A few months ago I bought a Michael Kors watch as a gift to myself using the money I earned as a trainee . It has quickly become one of my favorite pieces investments. I wear it with almost everything Menswear chic aesthetic of the watch adds interest to any outfit. Such work is exactly what you need to become a laid-back outfit as they look intentional, not like you just rolled out bed.

Send our photos fashionchallenge AT collegefashion.net along with your name, school, and a description of what you had to wear the shirt and how stylishly made. Can't wait to see what you girls are!

Do your t-shirt for the various activities on campus? How you dress it up to make a fashion statement? How often do you rock t-shirts on campus? Do you hate it when you told what to wear, or is it not bother you? Is there someone on your campus wearing cowboy boots? Sound with a comment!
