Will Smith’s daughter in Converse Chuck Taylor corset pant-type sneaker… Things

This is Willow Smith, daughter of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith. She is nine years old and already signed to Jay-Z's Roc Nation Entertainment label, but apparently she is still wearing footy pajamas:

Are these pants? Are they shoes? They are just my intense nightmare fashionable thanks NyQuil and too many episodes of Project Runway? Unfortunately, these things are all too real. I like Chuck Converse Taylors, I like lace-up corset pants, I do not believe the two bring together is a good idea. I'm reminded of an episode where Michael Scott The Office describes a dream he had:

These trousers is the equivalent of a peanut butter and tuna sandwich. They can work in your NyQuil induced dreams, but in real life, they're just a bad idea. I mean, what happens when you get home to someone else and you are prompted for your shoes? There is a difficult situation. I bet you will regret wearing those things if you're sitting at a dinner pantless friends.

Now, I understand that Willow here in just nine, and apart from the fact that they are likely not her own outfits chose, she tries a young, fresh, crisp image carve for itself, just as her father's love of neon and tilted baseball caps during his Fresh Prince days. I hope this trend is not catching. Shoes are shoes, pants are pants, the two should never be hybridized. What do you think?
